there was a tragedy recently at an HPDE, and a gentleman sportsman named Joe Drey lost his life

my sincere and deepest regrets to his family, and to anyone here that was his friend

i take it as a cautionary tale regarding HPDE in a car with no cage, but also evidence of the danger of our passion - particularly in certain turns and certain courses

beyond that words just fail

I'm also amazed at the debate and speculation going on in that thread. While the discussion they are having may be usefull it seems like it should be on a different thread.
