the panning shots seem a bit to blurry to me.. but im picky when it comes to photos, and not to say that mine were any better just making mention of it.. and it looks like he used HDR effect on some of them, but that to me takes away from the actual photo

it is all good bro.

he did tell me he has never shot an autox event before. and that he was and did take a photo class in college.

i am sure he plans to attend more of the events this year.  hopefully he will post about his shots.

 

Yeah like JPMRacing26 said, its all good. I dont think anyone can be more critical of my photos then me. This was my first time shooting an event like this and man it was fun :)  I gotta agree with you on that they all seem at least a little blurry, but no HDR action though. I did do a little dodge and burn in photoshop, but I remained a purist and did not take any artistic liscence other then cropping some photos. Next time I will tweak my shutter speed and be a little more steady with my panning ;) Next time in June I will definetly be ready to race and shoot more photos. Heck Im ready to do it again this weekend!

Sorry I could not help you on the slolom until you and your co-driver were through half your runs.  We had the situation where the most experienced people in grid were either two driver cars or were close to running when you were.  Timing and Scoring actually had to radio to the courseworkers to ask where you were DNFing so I could let you guys know.  I am not sure if it was announced, but we usually have a "course walk" with a fairly skilled and experienced driver before the drivers meeting to help explain and analyze the course for the less experienced drivers.  If you miss that, you can find me or just ask someone and they will either walk with you or point you to someone who will.
