Ok completly new to this style of racing. Ex Dirt track modified racer that is now into trucks. I know you are primarily car guys but ive seen a few trucks.
My question is if I want to exhibition a radce truck how do I go about it. I drag race my cummins dodge 4x4, sled pull and daily drive it. It dynos at just under 700hp and does sub high 11's in the 1/4.
Now I understand for what you style of racing you guys/gals do its all about handling. Light weight cars to the edge of tire grip. I understand im heavy but just for fun I would like to test or exhibition race my truck on a track.
Im lowering the truck right now 5" in the back and 2" in the front and am swapping springs and shocks and im lookin for a little help.
Later this year I plan to do a top speed run on the salt flats and run up pikes peak with this truck. I dont know how competativly I could compete or if they wont even let me run. I assume the srt10 ram 1500 and SVO f150 are low enough.
Am I able to run E-mod or is this a pipe dream. I really think I can make this pig around the track in a decent time just based on straight line speed.
