Re: Converting back to stock class
I don't have a dog in the fight, but wheels that are an inch wider are a pretty big advantage in a Stock class. I'd say run in SP just to be legal and give people one less excuse when you beat them.

I'm not in the market to be spending money on wheels quite yet, plus I believe the Mini has 4-lug wheels whereas my car has 5-lugs, but thanks for the offer. I think Drew's probably right. I'll just compete in SP or STS like I've been doing until this summer. By then I should be employed and no longer in the MS region most likely. Hopefully I'll be down in Houston losing to a completely different group of competitors.

Way to step up and take it like a man... I on the other hand, have decided that my car is completely to blame for my recent (or, maybe, all-time) level of losing. So, if I was in a different car, I think I would have won the national tour...

Just let JT drive it at the school in Grenada in April. I'm sure he'll find you 5 to 10 seconds.

Re: Converting back to stock class
MatthewBell:Well, I do have to say that the nut behind the wheel has not been tightened on my car recently... So if I could just learn to drive, I think I could take Sam Strano in my car, and finally prove to Chris that a Shelby is indeed a F-Stock car.
No.
That is all...

Re: Converting back to stock class
Why do you want to return to stock?

To make my car more competitive. Unless I want to pour tons of money into the car, it will never be competitive in Street Prepared or Street Touring.

Re: Converting back to stock class
OK. I guess I like modding my car to much to revert back to stock. I do SCCA for fun and slight competitiveness but understand that with my daily driver I will not be able to take home many trophies. I could see returning to stock class if it could be done in a couple of hours and still be able to put mods back on after racing. i just enjoy having a different car than the other guys with ta's to much to make it stock again. By the way nice car, I bet it is fun and a lot easier to handle through the cones than mine!

Re: Converting back to stock class
E30bulldog:Does any one know if i would be considered stock if I took the springs off, Only thing I could think of to keep me in DSP would be the catalytic converter delete.
You can find a complete list of allowable mods for stock class cars in the Solo Rulebook.
