    Towing a 05 + Mustang on a open trailer

I know how to tow my vette---cross straps by way of holes in the frame.

I know how to tow a Lotus Elise---by the wheels straight back and front

If I get a Mustang possibly Shelby or GT---HOW WOULD I STRAP IT DOWN ?

     thanks

    David

    1.  Several rolls of plastic wrap around the car and the trailer.  I recommend Saran wrap.

    2.  It's a Ford.  Who the hell cares?

    3.  Get a tire trailer and don't worry about tying down the car.

    4.  Use the factory transportation tie down points.  Run the straps/chains/baling wire/duct tape/bubble gum/etc to whatever points are convenient on the trailer.  It really doesn't matter whether the straps go fore and aft or crossed.  That is really a function of the size of the trailer.

Dave, I remember Greg and I went with axle straps around the wheels ( threaded through the rim )  straight back in the rear, and then crossed up front when we towed it to the Double Cross. (Left wheel to the right tie down point and opposite )
