The expected growth of the GTA class will also benefit the GT-1 car counts in the near future. Some GTA cars will be entering SCCA GT-1 Nationals in 2008. Many of the GTA cars are now GT-1 compliant. Some of the cars only need the addition of factory taillights to be entered in GT-1. The GTA cars will not run the lap time of a top National GT-1 car. However, many GTA drivers have posted some very impressive lap times at racetracks across the southeast. Considering the dependability factor of a GTA car, competitors should be aquiring podium finishes at GT-1 Nationals in 2008.
I am not affiliated with the ARRC or any of the event sponsors. I am like many members of the SCCA. I am passionate about racing and I support the SCCA Club Racing venue. I will be racing a road race converted Super-Late Model circle track car in the GTA class at the ARRC. If anyone is interested in the GTA concept, please feel free to contact me or stop by my paddock at the ARRC.
