I only have a mental image of it as we went by.  It was a rough day for some, about 4 cars went off, and some others couldn't make it home because of engines going out, or brakes seizing, or transmissions giving out.

Dale, I don't think too many people were keeping track of times but if you saw a red miata hardtop drifting the entire carousel, that was me  Party!!!

    Yea right!!!!!!!Stick out tongue

Anyone get pictures of my friend's red S2000 that hit the wall at turn 7?  Wondering how bad the damage is to see if someone wants to buy it since it will probably be totalled.

did anybody ever look into this?

thanks for the kind words Dale, with the weather the way it was, all I was concentrating on was hitting the correct marks.  I did notice that if I broke too late I tended to drift towards the apex, instead of staying on the outside until I was done braking.

As far as the S200 goes, I wasn't able to get any pictures of it, nor do I know of anyone who did.  Sorry Colin.  I will say that from what I could tell, it was in rough shape.  Does anyone know where the photographer posted the pictures?  Rumor had it that they'd be online, but that's the last I heard of it.  I can't remember her name off the top of my head either, all I know is that her last name is Cristopherson.  Turns out she married a guy I used to play football with.

It's going to an interesting season...

I looked at the S2000 and it wasn't pretty.  Didn't take any pictures for obvious reasons.  It was almost a direct frontal impact & both air bags deployed so I wouldn't be surprised if the radiator was pushed into the engine (or close to it), I'm sure the unibody was tweaked.

I think the photographer's first name was Gretchen - supposedly pix should be posted in the next day or two.  I'll post a link when I get it...

Now I need to get back to finishing those incident reports...  All incidents aside, it sounds like everyone else had a good time.  Thanks to all who came out & special thanks to all who helped as volunteers! Yes

I've been helping out with Texas A&M grassroots car and they are looking to build another one.  We are looking for cheap powerplants/chassis right now.  I'm sure any s2k parts are way out of our $2010 budget but I thought I'd throw that out there.

By the way if anybody was keeping track of the GRM 2009 challenge TAMU came in 5th overall!  That car is a blast to drive and pretty fun to help out on.  240whp in a 1836lb civic :-)

We are still looking for powerplants anybody got any ideas?  Has anybody heard anything else about the powerplant from that s2k?  Fair market price would be way higher then our budget but if it was sold out of a totaled car i dont know how that would work.  high hopes i guess lol.
