I'm all for weight "adjustments" Cool to those in need of such adjustment. 100lb sounds like a good starting point, however I suggest the weights be placed loose on the floorpans of the offender's karts so as to add more dimensions of challenge (instead of the logical weight vest).  100lb in 5lb increments = fun!

As long as we are going with "Adjustments" maybe we should give the young guys a BAC level so it will slow our reflexes down the the old folks level Beer

    Re: Winter Karting League

I received a reply from CIR yesterday - looks like Sundays are still going to be the preferred days for Track 3 at Buffalo Grove.  I'd like to coordinate an event for early-December, either December 6th or December 13th.  Let me know what works for everyone.  Initial thought for subsequent events: mid-January, late-February / early-March.  More events if there's enough interest.

Also, I will have CIR specify weight adjustments in their regs for young and/or lightweight individuals.  Or maybe the rest of us heavier types regardless of age should just engage in moving picks so as to keep the younger and/or lightweight types at bay...  Cool

Personally, I'd prefer the 13th.  It's most likely right before my exams, but it's right after all of my presentations..
It's going to an interesting season...

No problem, Ryan - hopefully everyone will be ready to have another go-round at that time to shake off the holiday rigors...Tongue Tied  I'll verify what CIR has available around then...

The 13th will be better for me also. I should be out of town on the 6th.

I think everybody should come down to texas for an autocross event.  that sounds like a perfectly reasonable trade off for me coming to chicago for a karting race Wink Conveniently I get to do an event every month this year Smile

The talk at the banquet was still about going on the 13th.  I'm sure we'll start getting the details worked out soon.

Just refreshing this, I need to vent some racer on the track because I cannot afford to keep getting pulled over. Snail
