    Re: Mt Comfort/Converse airport

You can always head over to Mt Comfort next weekend for the airshow.  Gonna be some sweet assed F-16s performing from Ft Wayne.  But if you want to see Murfin or me we'll be at IND airport to launch them because they can't land at lil old Mt Comfort.  Stick out tongue

I wish we still had Mt. Comfort.  There were some creative courses there that were pretty fun.

Yeah, Mt Comfort was nice. Like Shahab, I live not too far away in Shelby Co so that was a benefit too. The last conversation had with the powers that be there didn't leave much hope for going back. I keep eyeing the employee lot at the International Engine plant on Brookville Rd..........

I really miss mt comfort...  next door to my work, and I have trophied in every event w/ every organization I have run with there...  Oh well.

Still bums me out to drive by the old indy international and see all that open pavement.  I noticed Louisville runs in the ups parking lot at their airport.  What do they know about convincing them to run at an airport that we don't know?  Such a waste of perfectly good pavement.CryingStick out tongue

I don't think it's "what" they know so much as "who" they know............

The people who run the Mt. Comfort Airport are the same exact people that run the Indianapolis Intl. Airport. They're going to continue to find a million excuses as to why we can't play on any of their property. I think I know why that is but I am not 100% certain.

Airports rule for auto-x! The "powers that be" often suck. This is just a fact of life.
