Most courses require adjustment when they actually go from paper (or shirt) to pavement!    We had a larger grid and a need to change the trajectory of cars as they neared the grid for safety.   Other changes were made to increase some turn radii and improve the visual aspects of the course as it turned back on itself near the end.  It was a fun and challenging course and the Rose team did a great job!

I think I need one of those tracking gizmo's too to figure out why I'm getting slower.  What kind of system is that?

A lot of people in Indy are using the MaxQData system, which has some advantages and disadvantages when compared to Nick's system.

I rode with a non turbo Subi and had a blast, so thanks to let spectators ride also.  If I ever get my car fixed up better, I might actually run next year.  Was bored today, so here is a video.

Man, does the car run without stuff falling off of it? That's all you need to compete. Before I started Solo-ing I thought the same thing but I have Darren Daubenspauch and Lee Miller to thank (or is that blame?) for convincing to enter my first Solo with a car I thought wasn't "prepared". Had a blast that day and have been hooked ever since.

 Yesterday was a blast! I want to thank everyone who worked hard to make this event the big success it was!

It has G sensors and GPS, but from what I hear the app for that doesn't work worth a crap.

Give me GPS. There is too much error with the G sensor systems. That error increases with how softly sprung the suspension is. On a car like our Miata and Brian's Civic, it's off a little. On a more softly sprung car that leans a lot more in the turns, it will be off considerably more. There is a test in the most recent Grassroots Motorsports that talks about it.

BTW, my MaxQData numbers were quite suprising. On my last run I was getting sustained G's in the 1.10 to 1.15 with a few going as high as 1.2  and peak readings of 1.25 in a few spots and a freaky reading of 1.38 in the corner after the slalom. My speed through the slalom was right at 47-48mph.

^^This. If you just look at your own runs, it is helpful. If you can compare with someone else (best case scenario in the same car, or similar car), then it becomes an exponentially better tool.

The GPS data is tremendously helpful to both me and Brian to see what elements of a course we are better than each other....and then coach each other to "clean up" each others trouble areas.
I really think it helped me become a better driver by seeing exactly where I was getting my arse kicked. What may have taken years in the past to figure out, can be at your fingertips instantly. It's a brilliant device.

Is this the one you have?  Do you use the laptop that comes with it?

How easy is it to export data so you can look at other people's data. As Will said, that'd be hugely helpful to see what fast people are doing!
