Yeah no kidding.  My personal goal this year is to try and keep up with Craig, but if he's going to go around winning top PAX I might have to set some new goals!  Stick out tongue

I'm jealous, Craig.  2006 was the last index I managed in Milwaukee. Sad

Not bad at all.  It's no Type-R, but I wasn't expecting as much.  My FWD experience in recent years is very limited (non-existent with no LSD cars), so I wasn't quite ready for the ridiculous ease in getting inside tire spin, and even wheel hop at the first gear start corner in the wet.  After my 1st run, I thought I'd take it REALLY easy on my 2nd run's launch, but still had tire spin and wheel hop.

It also took a few corners to get a hang of the corner exit, power on understeer trajectory.  It'd be fun to try again some time in the dry.

plus switching from SS dry to HS wet on street tires you had plenty of time to do other things like set the radio presets.

You don't realize how true that is.  On my 2nd run I decided to turn the defroster off to try to get a few more ponies (even though I know there is probably an AC cut out at WOT).  During the 7 cone slalom the windshield started to fog up, so at the next right hand corner I reached down and turned the blower motor from off to max.  No lie.

I totally believe it. When I ran the Prelude at the last WAI event last year it was so so slow and couldn't believe that it couldn't turn.

The lesson learned here? Hold your breath next time so you don't fog up the windshield.

I'm finally catching up on everything after last weekend.  Thanks to all of my chiefs and everyone else that helped make my first event as solo chairman a success (at least I think).

Thanks to our sponsors Schlossman's Auto Group, Lake Country Alignment, and Cousins Subs!!!  Please support them as they support us!!!  And it was nice to have lunch available on-site again, thanks to Cousins!!!

Re: Milwaukee Region Solo #1 results‏

The transmitter was installed.  I know that the night before that was an issue with the antennae, the old one randomly stopped working and shorted out the entire bus.  Rob put in a new antennae and all was good, i'm not sure anyone ever checked to see if the transmitter was ever actually transmitting.  Whoops!
It's going to an interesting season...
