nhallman:Sounds great, Stan. I know Kentucky Region (Louisville area) has a whole group of FF's - like 10 or 11. The PO of my car was a KYR member. It's 8 hours away for them, but hey... maybe one or two will come.
Hey guys. I am from KYR. We have a points event the 20th so I doubt most would make the drive. Most of our CM group sets up, tears down, and runs the events. We do have a pretty big group, most of whom got into the class due to a local guy who has bought cars from all over the country and then sold them to locals. Lets see, we have an 85, 86, 86, 88 and once repaired an 84 Van Diemen, (Until Erik sold his and moved to Germany we had an 83 VD)a Swift, a Zink, a Royale, a Crossle, a Reynard, a Lola and I think thats it.... There are three ladies who drive at times, and a few other occasional co drivers.
We are all good friends, and enjoy when we get folks from out of town to run with us. I think it would be a blast if we can get folks to come in, say for our Aug 10th event at Papa Johns stadium. We have guys down from MI, IN, and OH at times, I imagine we could get huge turn out of we can get folks from other areas in as well. We have heard the lot's surface is good prep for the new nationals surface. It would be really cool to get 20-30 Formula Fords together... Talk about a photo op... Would anyone be interested in doing the drive to Louisville on 8/10? Come down early, or stay a day late, get together have a few beers, talk about how fast we think we are ;) If there is interest we can spread the word on apexspeed and other sites, maybe get some road racers to come play also...
