Re: What Sizes Does Kumho Need?

The 275/40/17 is a popular tire size- I'd like to also see a 275/35/17 or a 285/35/17 tire.

Basically, something in the high 24 / low 25 inch range in a 17 wheel.

    Cars: Mustangs/ Evo / WRX/ STi / S2k (SM maybe :) ) 350Z, C4 Vette etc

There's a big need for WIDE tires in the 23"OD range.

    To compete with Hoosier:
    225/45-15
    275/35-15

Something like 245/40-15 would be nice, too.

Wouldn't that be exciting, +1. I suspect that a lot of folks would choose 17s over the current 18s, if 275/35/17 or  285/35/17 were offered. S2k, Evo, STi, BMWs, RX8?, 350Z, MX5, RX7, C4?, Audi, Mustang to name a few.

One more vote for a 275/35/15 competitor.  And while we are at it how about a wet tire that size also.

And if we want to dream big (pun intended) 305/30-15 Big Smile

How about anything in a 19"?  I know they are finally going to put out a 345/30/19, but Hoosier has 6 19" sizes already and is adding sizes every few months.   Porsches, Corvettes, Vipers and others would benefit. - AB

I'd be happy just to get fresh tires in the current sizes. Devil

Tirerack is off my supplier list.  Is there a good west coast supplier?  I hate to ship out from Vilven, but will if necessarry.

Something wider in the 23" diameter:

     Certainly the 225/45-15, or a 225/40-16

Oh, and I'd like them to re-import their Rally tires again, so I can take advantage of their RallyCross contingency.

    cheers,

225/45-15 (can't believe they STILL don't make this size)

    265/35R18

    DS Audi TT

MUST FIT on 18" x 8" if it does then it fits on many cars in many different classes. I switched to the 275/35R18 Hoosiers because the 245's were too skinny and the 285's didn't mount up.

Plus 1 on that +1!!!  While 275/40 works, slightly shorter OR slightly wider would be GREAT!

That's on an SM 240SX Cool

AIM Tire (www.aimtire.com) has Hoosiers, 'Kooks and Toyos.  No Kumhos though as far as I know.  No affiliation, etc.

I concur. 275/35/17 would be awsome.

Any 275+ width that fall under 25 inches diameter, but taller than 23" (as in a 275/35/15) would be perfect

Re: What Sizes Does Kumho Need?

    I'd hope for a 245/40-17 and 245/45-16.

And a 275/35-15 as well as a 245/40-15 would be good tires for cars wanting a stagger setup or for some of the lighter SP cars who can't heat up the 275 as well......VWs Civics etc...
