FS: FSP '79 Ford Fiesta, SOLD!!

    Attachment: 0910_010.jpg

For Sale:  1979 Ford Fiesta S featured in January 1996 Grassroots Motorsports.

Car has been updated/backdated/improved with various items. Currently set up for SCCA Solo F Street Prepared class.  Was and could again be street driven depending on your local laws, but I let the inspection expire eight years ago and haven’t been driving it much since.  It’s been averaging two-three autocrosses a year since then.  Some things will need minor attention for regular street use.  Car is PA registered as a classic.

    Engine:

.030 over, balanced, about 20-30K on rebuild.

TWM twin throttle bodies on dual DCOE manifold

    Haltech F7 injection

    Jahnspeed header, ceramic coated

Ford Motorsport MSD igniton, Bosch distributor

    2" exhaust with Supertrapp

    No emissions controls at all

Keeping in mind that the SP rules are VERY limited with internal mods, the car puts 62hp to the wheels and about 74lb-ft of torque with a very flat curve.

    Drivetrain:

Trans rebuilt when we built the engine

    Tilton 7lb flywheel

    Fiesta XR2 clutch

    Quaife

    Suspension:

    Koni reds

Forparts front springs, cut stock rears

    Urethane bushings

    RS 19mm rear bar

RS front camber kit, bent rear axle tube

    Custom strut/shock tower braces

    RS front ball joints

    Forged front wheel hubs

Converted to wheel studs and nuts

    13x7 Panasports w/ Hoosier A3S05's for track

    13x6 RS seven-spokes with BFG's for street

    Body:

Custom 3" steel box flares, four color paint job

Factory sunroof with both panels and bags

    Blacked out bumpers

    Euro tailights (two color)

    Euro grille

    Kamei air dam (extra included)

    Hella H4's (not installed)

    Shaved license plate lights/lighted frame

    RS1600i badging

    Battery kill switch

    Interior:

Safety Devices roll bar w/ front cage section included, not installed

    Momo Montecarlo steering wheel

Red racing seats like Corbeau Clubmans

    Black vinyl back seat

Base model door panels (includes original S panels)

Oil pressure and coolant temp guages (Autometer)

    Haltech mixture meter

    Optima battery relocated to rear

    Car weighs about 1750.

Lots of spares included such as extra engines (I have four), fresh reman steering rack, good used brake rotors, various interior bits, two sets of 12" wheels/tires, gas tank, shift linkages, misc. suspension bits and even more stuff I can't think of right now. Way more than would fit in the car.

This car has a long history in the Susquehanna Region Solo program with several class championships to its credit.  With real brakes and a little more motor it would be a killer little street/track car.  Maybe vintage?  It's time for somebody to take it to the next level.  This car couldn’t be duplicated for 15K or more, reduced!  Asking 4000.
