    Columbus autocross, March 8-9

Our first events of the year are March 8 and 9 at Columbus Air Force Base. Event details will be posted on Events page as they are finalized, but I'll update this thread regularly.

    Base access list
We'll have to wait to do online registration, so we'll do it just like in the past. Base access forms are due by noon on Sunday, March 2. Don't wait to submit yours - do it right this minute! Send your completed form to msscca@gmail.com.

    Membership
This will also be the first event for us under the new "weekend membership" rules. The short version is that if you're not a member, you'll need to become one by either purchasing a full membership or by buying a weekend membership. See here for more info.

    Event Details
We'll need some folks to help with the early morning setup stuff. That includes course setup/design, computer and timing setup, registration, and tech. I'll solicit volunteers the week before the event.

My brain still hurts from those turns...

I should be in Columbus early that weekend (seeing as how I live in Starkville...) I'll be glad to help out with anything, Drew.

You can have the most difficult job of all: making sure Brian gets there before 9:30.

I don't care what kind of course you design, I just hope my car runs long enough to make a full run.  Aren't Hondas supposed to be reliable?Tongue Tied

Damn, I knew I'd get screwed by being the first to volunteer...

    Re: Columbus autocross, March 8-9

We (I) usually try to have the trailer there by 7:45 AM if not before. By 8:00 AM, the waiver table is set up and ready to sign in everyone. And the trailer has been turned over to whoever for course set up.

With the number of folks who will have to do the membership thing this time, it will take 2 or 3 people who know what their doing at the waivr table to be anywhere close to efficient. Help will be greatly appreciated.  I'll (try to) be there earlier to explain - it's not difficult - but 1 registration person with 10 questions from 10 different people at once will have a difficult time and the process will certainly be confusing.

As always, the more hands the quicker the set up ------ which usually results in more runs.

    S.

We have had 2 events with the new weekend Membership thing.  Have a sample filled out for them to follow.

Car is still not ready so I'll be missing your wonderful 2 day event.

I'm going to open up base access registration soon, but it's going to need to close this Sunday! Please keep an eye peeled - I'll open registration (hopefully via an online system) ASAP.
